Introduction
India announced their squad for the 2022 U19 World Cup to be hosted in West Indies from 14th January onwards. The All-India Junior Selection Committee, BCCI have announced a named a 17-player squad.
India has been 4 times – U19 World Cup Champions : 2000, 2008, 2012 and 2018
Delhi’s Yash Dhull will lead the side and Andhra’s SK Rasheed will be his deputy.
Who is Yash Dhull ?
India’s U-19 World Cup captain has the experience of leading Delhi’s U-16, U-19, and India ‘A’ U-19 sides. He ,recently, had a successful Vinoo Mankad Trophy campaign. Riding with recent success he will march ahead in representing India in the upcoming World Cup tournament.
Yash Dhull is a right-hand batsman and is often termed as a classy batter.
He has been in superb form lately – scoring 302 runs in 5 games for the DDCA, at a staggering average of 75.50, in the 2021-22 Vinoo Mankad Trophy held in September-October.

He is just like any other kid from the block. He has done many struggles to reach where he is right now. Yash Dhull comes from a humble family who has done certain sacrifices for him to able to pursue Cricket.
His father, in a recent held interview, told that he was working as an executive for a Cosmetic brand. He left his job so that he can provide his full time & support to Yash.
